Great case for telescope

Purchased this case with the pick and pluck foam layers. Excellent case for my 100mm telescope, and great value for money. Managed to plan the layout so could fit the diagonal and eyepieces.

Excellent value for Telescope and Accessories

The service and delivery time were first class. It is an attractive well made case. I shall look at other sizes to buy.
I have used mine for a 100mm refractor telescope, finder, diagonal and eyepieces for UK travel. It is ideal for safe storage and normal transport. Because it is the longest case in this range the front face is slightly flexible and there is an extra clip to secure this. However when used with a foam filler everything inside will be well located and protected. NOTE - you would have to pay many times the price to get a case strong enough for safe shipping of a valubale or fragile item.
For a simple shape you could cut the solid block provided (eg with a toothed bread knife). For irregular shapes and a number of pieces it is far better to add to your order the matching precut foam blocks. This makes it easy to organise the space inside and get the best protection. Just plan the layout carefully before you start pulling out the small foam pieces and you can get a really professional result.

Good for large lightweight items.

I have bought a number of Roc cases before this one being the largest so far. They are well made but are not suitable for really heavy objects. This case is being used to house a Ryobi 18v Chainsaw which I have situated it so it is flat and not on its side when the case is moved using the handle. I did not use the large density foam block which came with the case as the chainsaw is not a practical shape to cut out so I used two pieces of left over foam one for each end. Roc cases in general I would prefer to see the foam with pull out squares so it is easy to shape the interior space.
To sum up it does what I want it to do and protects the chainsaw from the elements when not being used.

Excellent case - a good investment. Sturdy enough for my lightweight fragile items, which I can now safely carry solo in a single trip.

I bought an œIridescent Rainbow bread knife from Amazon for use on the foam block - this worked perfectly.

Initial disappointment that there is only one handle was subsequently (when I needed to transport some œThis Way Up items) replaced with relief that there is only one handle, as this ensures the case is always carried the same way up.

Glad to see a flight case without the usual locks (which wouldnt stop a toddler) - instead, padlock security. Youll need to buy two of these separately, each with a locking bar of about 7mm maximum - Ive included some close-up pics for detail on this (yes, I know my padlocks wouldnt stop a toddler either!) but if youd like more precise info then by all means ask a question.

Im really pleased with this purchase and also, a quick shout out to Allendale Stores, which has provided great service to me several times now.
